WASTE NOT WANT IT × Arts & CO × Bloomberg
When the WNWI designers arrived at Bloomberg's Canning Street warehouse, they approached the waste stream like magpies — sifting among discarded materials for hidden value. Laetitia de Allegri and Matteo Fogale were drawn to the shimmering twists concealed inside data cables, stripping them back to reveal their unexpected beauty.

Stripped data cables were woven using traditional caning techniques to form seating islands and protective screens. The cables were also embedded into resin table surfaces, creating layered, translucent planes that reveal the intricate copper and fibre strands within. Ash wood frames were hand-bent by a London-based carpenter, grounding the pieces in honest craftsmanship.
The project transformed overlooked waste into functional, sculptural furniture — seating islands that invite pause and connection within the Bloomberg workspace.
